Thinking about getting into 3D printing, or upgrading? Black Friday is the best time of year to do it. Printers and filament both see their steepest discounts, which makes the barrier to entry lower than ever. Here is what to expect for Black Friday 2026, what last year’s deals actually were, and how to buy smart.

A note on prices: exact 2026 Black Friday prices are not announced until the sale. The 2025 figures below come from last year’s deal roundups, and the current list prices were checked on October 12, 2026. We will update this as real 2026 deals land.

First: FDM or Resin?

Decide this before you shop, because it changes which deals matter:

Not sure? Our FDM vs resin printing explainer settles it, and is 3D printing worth it helps if you are on the fence entirely.

What Last Black Friday Looked Like

PrinterBlack Friday 2025 priceNotes
Bambu Lab A1 mini$199 (Combo with AMS lite $329)The default beginner recommendation
Anycubic Photon Mono 4 (resin)$149, down from $219Entry-level resin
Creality Ender 3 V3 SE$179.99, down from $219Budget FDM
Filamentmulti-packs at yearly lowsStock up in the same order

Brand-wide, the 2025 sale ran to roughly 46 percent off at Bambu Lab, up to 53 percent at Elegoo, and up to $500 off at Anycubic on the larger machines. Bambu Lab’s sale started on October 21 last year, a full month before Black Friday.

One thing changed in 2026: list prices went up. The Photon Mono 4, for example, was listed at $240 on Anycubic’s store when we checked, up from the $219 it was discounted from last year. So compare a 2026 “deal” with the 2025 sale price in the table, not with this year’s inflated list price. A printer that is “30% off” a higher list can land at the same dollar figure as last year.

What to Expect in 2026

  • Beginner FDM printers under $200 again, with the A1 mini likely the headline. Our Bambu Lab A2L review covers the newer mid-range if you want to spend more.
  • Entry resin printers back around $150, with wash-and-cure stations bundled at a discount.
  • Filament at its yearly low: this is when a year’s worth of PLA is cheapest. Our 3D printing cost guide shows how much that actually is.
  • Early starts. Bambu Lab and Creality ran sales from late October in 2025. Watch from the third week of October rather than waiting for the Friday.

How to Buy Smart

  • Buy the printer and filament together. Filament multi-packs are cheapest during the sale, so stock up in the same order and save on shipping.
  • Do not forget the extras. For resin, budget for gloves, IPA, and a wash-and-cure setup (these rarely go on sale but are essential, and our dangers of 3D printing guide explains why). Our must-have 3D printing accessories guide covers the FDM side.
  • Know the regular price and last year’s deal. Use the table above so you can spot a real discount versus a raised-then-cut list price.
  • Check the shipping origin. Some brand stores ship from overseas warehouses during the sale with longer delivery times. If the printer is a gift, order early enough.
  • Watch the whole window. Deals often start early and run through Cyber Monday, and the best bundles sell out first.

No Printer, Just Want Prints?

If you decide printing is not for you but you still want custom parts, an on-demand service can print and ship them. Our Justway review covers how that works and what it costs.

The Bottom Line

Black Friday is the cheapest time of year to start 3D printing. Decide FDM vs resin first, use our buyer guides to pick a model, compare with last year’s sale price rather than this year’s list price, and buy your filament in the same sale. Do that and you will be printing for less than you thought possible.
